Latrobe City had a problem - they previously used Oracle Financials for its financial reporting package, but when migrating to Finance One, the 7 years of history in Oracle was not brought forward.

Council was then forced to continue to operate the Oracle Financials software for enquiry and reporting purposes for financial information for the period 1999-2006. Operating on older versions of Oracle, Windows Server and related infrastructure meant considerable ongoing and support issues.

The CID Data Warehouse was seen as the perfect solution. Migrating of data from Oracle to the History Database, and then operating in a browser based environment on SQL/Server 2005, Council can now plan to de-commission this older hardware and software environment.
