The City of Salisbury opened tenders for the development of its first 5 year ICT Strategy since 1996.

After detailed review of the tenders received, CSS was selected to develop the ICT Strategy for the City.
Undertaking a detailed strategy development, CSS undertook the following:
- A detailed review of previous preperatory processes within Council, including review of the detailed dA review of the existing ICT business policies and procedures
- Identification of key strategy objectives and developments
- Council-wide IT Questionnaire providing users with the facility for direct input to the strategic process
- Detailed workshop and follow-up one-on-one review with Council staff
- Benchmarking of Council ICT Services against a series of like organisations
- Development of a detailed set of initiatives prioritised across the 5 years of the strategy period.
Reflecting the local conditions as well as the high-growth nature of Wyndham City, CSS delivered to Council a detailed 5 year strategy with the some of the following key outcomes:
- 36 specific recommendations incorporating 175 specific project initiatives over the five year strategy period
- Development and formalisation of an appropriate IT Governance Framework for management of ICT initiatives and projects
- Changes to IT unit structure and resourcing to better equip Council to support the implementation of the strategic initiatives
- Adoption of Application Frameworks for long term application development, including detailed technical infrastructure requirements
- Ratification or development of approximately 20 specific policy and related positions.
